Fabric Acoustic Panels in a Home Theatre logo Fabric Wrapped Acoustic Panels

Transform your noisy space into a sonic oasis with R3B. To effectively reduce room reverberation & improve speech clarity, our 50mm thick panels are highly recommended. 75mm thick are suggested for rooms that require better low frequency absorption such as a home theatre or a home music studio. Each panel is handmade with care. Our process begins with a timber frame, which provides a durable base for the panel. This frame is then covered with a flexible backing (which further improves acoustic performance), then filled with acoustic fibreglass. Finally we stretch and wrap the fabric. The result is a sag & crease finish that not only looks great, but also delivers exceptional performance.

Small Conference Room

Commercial - Residential - Healthcare - Education

R3B are a great option for a variety of applications including educational settings like classrooms and music rooms. For boardrooms and open offices, we recommend pairing R3B Fabric Acoustic Panels with our printed Acoustic Art Panels to create a decorative, warm and most importantly, quiet workspace. For healthcare settings, a combination of R3B and Acoustic Art Panels are the perfect addition for waiting rooms and consulting suites to provide an echo-free, visually appealing space for patients & staff. R3B Panels are also a fantastic choice for home theatre acoustic treatment since they offer excellent acoustic performance with a premium feel.

Placement Example

To ensure that sound is absorbed more effectively, position the panels so that they're directly facing the sound source at an appropriate height. In most cases, panels should be fixed at least 80cm from the floor (vertically) and if they are installed in a common area or hallway where people may stand and chat, we recommend that they be oriented horizontally and positioned higher up on the wall. The efficacy of the acoustic panels can be increased if they're displaced from the wall by 20mm+ rather than being flush mounted. Lower sound frequency absorption can be improved using this technique and incorporating spacers is possible thanks to the Acoustic fabric Panel's hard backing.

For home theater rooms, we recommend installing the panels at the first sound reflection points. These points are spots on the walls where the mid to high-frequency sound waves from your speakers first bounce off of before reaching your ears. By strategically placing acoustic panels at the first reflection points, you can effectively trap some of the sound waves before they continue on to reflect off other surfaces in the room. This method will improve the clarity and accuracy of the sound coming from your speakers. Every room is acoustically unique, therefore we recommend experimenting with different placement positions to find the perfect balance for your listening environment.

Decorative Wall Panels

Lowering noise levels to boost customer retention.

As restaurants continue to prioritise not only the quality of their food but also the overall dining experience, the importance of acoustics in these spaces has become increasingly evident. Patrons often complain about the noise levels in restaurants, making it difficult to have conversations & enjoy their meals. By installing our broadband acoustic panels, restaurant owners can create a more enjoyable dining experience for their patrons, ensuring that conversations can flow easily & that everyone can fully appreciate the flavours of their meals.

NRC Chart (Acoustic Performance)

Acoustic Performance - What is NRC?

The Noise Reduction Coefficient of a material measures its ability to absorb sound. The higher the NRC, the more effective a material is at reducing the amount of sound that bounces around a room before reaching your ears. Products with a low NRC rating often means that more coverage is required to achieve any noticable results. (Such as Bunnings 9mm acoustic pinboard and Prempanel which have a NRC rating of 0.3 and perform poorly at the lower frequency range). Ratings are expressed in decimals from 0 to 1, where 0 represents 0% sound absorption and 1 represents 100% sound absorption. Third-party lab measurements are done according to a standard test method. In some cases, the measured sound absorption coeffiency is greater than 1.0. These values are reported as measured and not adjusted.
