Superior Prints & Acoustic Performance

HOW IT WORKS

Using dye‑sublimation technology, we custom print your image or artwork on acoustically transparent fabric, then use that fabric in our standard acoustic panel manufacturing process to combine gorgeous matte finish prints with class-A sound absorption.

ORDERING PROCESS

To order, simply upload your images & select your panel size. Once we receive your selections, we’ll prepare a digital proof for your review & layout approval. This step helps make sure the images are properly aligned & meet your expectations. After you approve the proof, we’ll issue an invoice & begin manufacturing your custom acoustic art panels.

ⓘ IMPORTANT INFORMATION

For general noise-control applications such as improving speech clarity in offices, our 50mm panels are recommended. For spaces that need improved mid-to-low frequency absorption, such as home cinemas, the 75mm or 110mm options provide better overall performance.

CMF Acoustic Art Panels are the perfect addition to any space. Whether you want to add a few decorative pieces in your home or create a calming atmosphere in a busy office, we personalise to suit your style and taste from abstract art, movie poster designs to nature photos.

We use a smooth, acoustically transparent 100% polyester fabric that is designed to allow sound to pass through easily and be absorbed. This is essential for controlling reverberation and sound reflections in any room, whether it's a home theatre, studio, or office space, acoustically transparent fabric will ensure that the sound absorbing properties of the acoustic panel's inlay are not significantly impeded.

The print process is an innovative technique that uses heat to transfer dye onto fabric. One of the key advantages of this printing method is its ability to produce a high quality image with stunning color accuracy and sharpness. Unlike traditional printing methods, this advanced technology ensures that prints are resistant to fading, cracking, and peeling, guaranteeing that your pictures or designs will stand the test of time. The process is also environmentally friendly, using water-based inks that are low VOC, contain no harmful chemicals and emit no odour.

NRC - acoustic performance

The noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of a material measures its ability to absorb sound. Ratings are expressed in decimals from 0 to 1, where 0 represents 0% sound absorption and 1 represents 100%. Materials with a low NRC often require extensive surface coverage to achieve noticeable improvements to noise levels. This is especially relevant in the 1000Hz to 4000Hz range, where human hearing is most sensitive.

Easy Installation

Each panel is supplied with a simple two-part aluminium mounting kit. One piece attaches to the wall and the other to the panel backing, leaving no more trace than a picture hook. Once coupled, the panel’s weight holds the two pieces securely together. The wall piece can also be fixed using 3M Command™ Strips (not included) for a removable, damage-free option.

Panel Edge Options

To ensure your images are seamlessly wrapped around the panel frame, we offer three different panel edge options. For movie poster images and other pictures that contain critical content close to the edge, we recommend a mirrored border (example above). For nature-inspired images that do not contain important content near the border, our clients often opt for a full image wrap-around. For a more defined, centre focused finish, we recommend a greyscale or coloured panel edge. Contact us to discuss edge configurations.
